ISSUES WITH FILMING
Below is a list of issues that we had when filming and editing. It is good that we have identified these issues as it will help all of us for future productions.

Getting rid of unwanted background noise when filming and editing.
For example taking the noise of the footage of the visions, so we had to completely to take of all the sound of the clips.
-
It was difficult to film in the bathroom because their was not much space and also the reflection in the mirror was hard to avoid.
So we decided to actually stand in the bath and we avoided these problems after a couple of tril and errors.
-
we had trouble using the camera with no tripod to make sure that it is always steady.
In some shots in our film we did use the tripod and in others without the tripod the camera was mostly sturdy and steady.
-
we had trouble trying to meet up to film as we all very occupied.
Instead of all of us filming together we all took turns andfimed what each of us had to film and then we would upload to the computor.

When filming there were many problems that we had to sort out. The first problem was meeting up as a group. We were all not available at the same times therefore. we all filmed separately or in twos. Another problem was with the actresses, we planned on have 5 actresses however, at the last minute two of them couldn’t make it. This bought up a lot of problems such as us having to change the script on the same day and sort out how we can change the scene in a way that it doesn’t affect the storyline, this all had to be done quickly so we could get on with filming as we needed quite a lot of time for it.
For the main scene’s, when the girls are getting ready, there were also a lot of other problems, some of which are:
-
Lighting in the rooms – the lights were not very bright in the bedroom.
-
The use of mirrors – because we used mirror’s we had to make sure that our own reflections were not seen when we were filing.
-
Keeping the cast to concentrate – there were quite a lot of time’s when everyone would lose focus and start to mess around.
-
Forgetting line – the cast also kept forgetting their lines or mixing their lines up because they didn’t have enough time to practice them. This meant that we had to keep re-filming certain scenes.
-
Using their real names – sometimes instead of using the characters names, the cast would accidently use their real names, this also meant that we ha to keep re-filming scenes.
-
No tripod – some of the scenes involved us using no tripod, this meant that we had to do our best to keep our hands as steady as possible.
-
Keeping to the storyboard – some of the scenes were quite hard to film as we had only 3 actresses and there was not a lot of room to stand around with the tripod. This meant that we had to change more things around.
-
Keeping up with timing – we spent a little to long on some scenes, which left us to rush other scenes especially the last few scenes.
-
Space for the tripod – the bedroom didn’t have enough space for us to move the tripod to film from different angles, this lead to us having to change some of the shots and angels that we planned to use. We had similar problems when filming in the bathroom.
-
Noises around the house – we had a bit of trouble with other noises around the house because there were other people walking around and we had some sounds from outside. This caused us problems because we had to re-film as we had to keep the sound on these scenes so we couldn’t just take the sound out which we were able to do with the filming’s of the visions.
These problems have helped us to understand more about how long it takes to film, and what we could have done to avoid these problems. It also has taught us about all the other things which we need to consider when planning to film, some of these things are, the cast learning their line, making sure everyone is defiantly available, if there is enough space for filming and how much time we need to film each scene so we wouldn’t have to rush the last scenes.
