Our group has decided that most our filming for our 2 minute opening for our Thriller film will be done when it is slightly dark because, as you can see from the pictures above, the locations that we have chosen look more eerie and mysterious in the dark (these locations are in London, Chingford). We have choses places such as an alleyway, near an old gate, near a church and a forest because they all denote the Thriller Genre. Each setting gives a gloomy and ghostly feeling; also the streetlights in each of these settings also look very creepy enabling suspense. The lighting in these settings can also create very good shadow effects, which will be good to use for when we need to portray the idea of a hidden identity, then the creepy effect that these settings give, will connote the idea of the hidden identity to be something evil. In addition, these places also give a good use of space for us whist filming and are pretty quiet most of the time, so there won’t be any problems filming there. These locations will be used to film the visions that the main character gets.

LOCATION/SETTING

Other settings, which we will use to film the scenes of the characters getting ready, will be a bedroom and a bathroom. These settings will make our opening of our film seem more realistic, it will be used to make the audience feel more included and make it seem like a more believable situation, which could happen in real life, this is because these are places which people use in their everyday lives.
